Jharokha - For Parents & Teachers

Children are born through us, but they are not ours. We have been given the opportunity to nurture a life and add value to the life which is longing to live & lead. Why do we EXPECT then that when the child grow up, she should take care of her parents? If the child has learnt to be sensitive to herself & to everything around her, she will do whatever is needed for her parents too without even asking or expecting. The only question we need to ask is how do we bring that sensitivity in our child? And, for that to happen, we, ourselves need to be sensitive first. Remember the child doesn't listen to you, she follows your footstep. For her, in those early years, you are her idol. 

Earlier, it was the responsibility of the govt to provide education to all. Now, as you & me know, it is in the hands of multinationals & powerful people. It is time for us to understand our child's needs & decide what we want our child to learn which can take care of her psychological needs, can nurture her inclination to the type of intelligence she has (which is in accordance to the multiple intelligence theory by Howard Gardner) & make her sensitive enough to take a corrective action in case needed. It is our responsibility to come together to help the child LIVE her life.       

We have a program with 16 sessions of 1.5 hours each to help you bring that sensitivity in your child. My intention is not to teach you, but to travel along with you on your journey of discovering yourself which in turn will help you guide your child to live her life sensibly. These sessions are a result of raising my own child, from a dominant mother to a friend of hers, my wandering to places in thirst of true education and understanding education in it's true sense & most importantly, my willingness to grow as a human being.

While what you know and have been doing as a parent is correct, there are at least 100 more ways of seeing the same thing. When we open up our windows, we get to see new vistas. Automatically, these new perspectives lead us to respond to and work with our child in different and perhaps much more effective ways. The child, in the end, is a huge beneficiary.

This workshop is for parents raising kids of any age who want to make parenting deeply enjoyable & teachers for whom learning is a life long adventure and not mere a subject matter expertise.
